The moody light that is captured at dawn and dusk can be intriguing, but there are many other ways to achieve this look. Choosing a location that is very dark with city lights in the distance is one awesome way. Using flash lights and other light sources to light portions of the subject is another option. The possibilities are only limited by your imagination. 


The photo below was taken very late at night, on Riverside Drive in Evansville, Indiana. To get the streak of light from the car light I set the  shutter speed at 30 seconds, and since it was pretty bright I set the ISO at 100 and the aperture at f18.
